Happy almost April everyone. I don't know about you but I'm going to be getting ready to put a lot more time and energy into social media management. If nothing else, for awareness and creating some things that folks will enjoy so that I can stay top of mind with Dogs BOND.
Let's take a look at the upcoming global hashtags and trends that I hope will inspire some of our rescue partners in their content creation this month. If you see a day and a global hashtag that you want to use, go ahead! Let us contribute our likes, retweets, and shares to you - just tag us using @dogsbondgame on any of your posts!

MONTH & WEEKS OF APRIL GLOBAL HASHTAGS
MONTH of April: Pet First Aid Awareness Month - The perfect time to talk about your knowledge on common pet injuries. Share a success story about how you helped an injured pet with simple first aid.
April 1-7: International Pooper Scooper Week – Let’s volunteer to clean up dog waste in our community. Take snaps of useful tools and post them on social media using #pooperscooperweek. We don't have to see them in action of course!
April 10-16: Animal Care and Control Appreciation Week – We need to show some appreciation for the hard-working men and women of Animal’s Care and Control. Post a thank you to your vet officers using #ACCAweek – they’re usually the ones partnering with animal welfare organizations to inform us ahead of time before animals are in dangerous situations.
April 10-16: National Dog Bite Prevention Week - Let’s work towards creating awareness for the prevention of dog bites. Use this opportunity to educate your friends, families, and neighbors that any dog can bite, regardless of its breed so they need to ask a human before trying to pet a dog.
April 17-23: Animal Cruelty/Human Violence Awareness Week – Let’s raise awareness of the mistreatment of animals. Share a success story about a dog you rescued from a cruelty situation.
April 17-23: National Pet ID Week - Urge pet owners to make sure pets have proper identification. Proper ID tags will help your beloved pet if missing or lost. Sometimes people forget to include all their critical information like name, phone number, and a vet’s number. Share a success story of how you helped a pet with or without an ID.
