Getting back on track for my updates for our Rescue Partners! Sorry if we've been a little out of communication but things in July were just absolutely crazy. Good news is that we're out of the storm and heading towards friendly shores!
This is August upcoming global hashtags and trends that I hope will inspire some of our rescue partners in their content creation this month. If you see a day and a global hashtag that you want to use, go ahead! Let us contribute our likes, retweets, and shares to you - just tag us using @dogsbondgame on any of your posts!

MONTH & WEEKS OF AUGUST GLOBAL HASHTAGS
Dogust - A very cute way to talk about everything in August!
Week of August 1: #InternationalAssistanceDogWeek
Time to thank those service dogs, but also raise awareness for how to appropriately treat service animals and assistance animals when they're working.
AUGUST DAY CELEBRATIONS & GLOBAL HASHTAGS
August 1: #NationalGirlfriendsDay - take a photo of your pups with their best girlfriends!
August 1: #NationalSistersDay - We all know that our sisters love our dogs, sometimes more than they love us!
August 5: #WorkLikeADogDay - Celebrate your volunteers! Thank the folks who stuff envelopes, manage your social media, and generally have kept the rescue online!
August 9: #InternationalCoworkingDay - How many of your pets in the past year have 'joined' a meeting? Take a picture of yourself and your pup in your work from home environment!
August 10: #NationalSpoilYourDogDay - OK guilty! You can also use other popular hashtags for this one like: #NationalSpoiledDogDay, #NationalSpoilYourPetDay and #NationalLazyDay
August 11 - #AllAmericanPetPhotoDay - We love it when our pets participate in the festivities. Got a photo you just haven't posted from the 4th of July? Here's your chance!
August 14 - It's internationally recognized as Homeless Animals' Day. We all know how it feels when we see a video or photo of these creatures, so make sure to use tact and compassion. Great day to request a fundraiser.
August 15 - #NationalRelaxationDay - Well what better way to relax than with your animal. Some good facts to post would be about the reduction in stress that comes from just petting a dog!
August 17 - #NationalNonProfitDay - Obviously it's time to celebrate the rescue, but take a moment to thank your biggest corporate sponsors. Maybe ask your audience to engage with you to find a new corporate to partner with!
August 19 - #InternationalBowDay - How cute is this!
August 21 - International Homeless Animal Day - Using #IHAD and discussing how some of our rescues often get animals from other countries, this is a great opportunity to discuss your efforts and partnerships
August 30 - #NationalHolisticPetDay - There are many holistic healers that are also pet people and it's important to share some of the less invasive, less pharma driven alternatives to care. Share some, and engage with the community to find some.
August 30 - #GriefAwarenessDay - It's also possible that someone may have left our close circles in recent months. It's important to understand and interpret these feelings. This is a way to remember but also to interact with your communities to show that we're also there for the emotional health of our fosters, adopters, and adoptees.
August 30 - #NationalBeachDay - I love the vidoes where the dog runs down to the beach and jumps into the water!
That's what we've found for this upcoming month of Dogust! Dogs BOND will also be focusing on a few milestones of our own - including the fact that this time last year we launched on Kickstarter! What a journey it has been, and what a wonderful way for us to have gotten involved with all of our great partners.
I'd love to get your thoughts, feedback, and of course ideas on how I might be able to build this into a greater resource for rescues! Have a great Dogust!
